Made of salvaged treasure of veneer from the scrap bin. Not yet finished, I think I want to explore the shape of the opening in the circle before I commit and apply the finish.
Abstract Organizers
Finished product of a 5 month class utilizing 3-Dimensional abstraction as the primary inspiration for a product. This Mahogany and steel set includes a container for spoons, whisks, etc, a knife block, and my favorite, a banana hanger.
These forms where developed from initial abstract compositions, turned into a product, and finally realized in hand carved mahogany and left unfinished after a sanding up to fine grit.
Simple Boxes
Had a lot of fun making these quick gifts. Mahogany boxes made with rabetted side, leather covered plywood bottom. One lid is maple, the second is birch plywood. One went into a Kris Kringle, the other went to the sis.

My first piece of furniture. Solid Mahogany side table measuring 16” x 12” x 12”. Mortise and tenon joinery, with spline miters, dominated by a large lapped-joint base that continues up into the thin planar legs. Hand waxed finish.
